Airbus Helicopters SAS (formerly Eurocopter Group) is the helicopter manufacturing division of Airbus. It is the largest in the industry in terms of revenues and turbine helicopter deliveries. Its head office is located at Marseille Provence Airport in Marignane, France, near Marseille. The main facilities of Airbus Helicopters are at its headquarters in Marignane, France and in Donauwörth, Germany, with additional production plants in Brazil (Helibras), Australia, Spain and the United States. The company was renamed Airbus Helicopters on 2 January 2014.
Established in 1992, Eurocopter is the world’s no. 1 helicopter manufacturer in the civil and parapublic markets. The Eurocopter Group is a division of EADS, and has over 15,500 individuals working worldwide in over 20 subsidiaries and affiliates. Eurocopter generated a €4.5 billion turnover in 2008.
